Jigar Mehta

As a founding team member at Matter. I am looking to support entrepreneurs building a more informed, connected, and empowered society through our 4-month start-up accelerator in San Francisco.

Passionate about the intersection of media and entrepreneurship. To further support this mission I am organizing the startup alley at News Xchange where I serve as a executive team member.

My current documentary project is 18 Days in Egypt which is supported by the Tribeca Film Institute's New Media Fund and is part of the Sundance Institute's New Frontier Storylab.

I've been honored to be a Knight Journalism Fellow and a video journalist at The New York Times. I'm currently a boardmember with the South Asian Journalists Association.

...Oh, I bleed Blue and Gold. BS in Mechanical Engineering and a MJ in Journalism from the University of California, Berkeley where I was a Drake Engineering and Human Rights Fellow.
